How to play in detail

You play the 30 years from age 35 to 65, split into 3 eras of 10 years each.
Each year you place 10 coins across 5 districts: Savings, Bond, Stock, Property and Living.
Coins with a gold rim are in the tax-free allowance, so their growth is not taxed.
When you move to the next year an event happens, and what you choose changes the town's rules.
As a district's assets grow, buildings go up and rise in level with the amount.
At the start of each era you choose 1 goal; reach it and you get more coins the next year, and in the last chapter the town celebrates.
In Today's Town everyone plays the same 30 years and compares ranks on 2 boards, assets and living.
